Organic Baby Futon |

The full-staple cotton used in these futons is certified organic by the state of Texas, and the wool is shorn from sheep that graze in fields free of pesticides. Most commercial wool is cleaned through a process called carbonizing, which uses hydrochloric acid.
Our wool is washed in hot water and soap, which can leave behind bits of plant matter. These bits are a sign that the wool has been processed naturally. The ratio of cotton to wool differs on each futon thickness.
Each futon has a cotton base, then one layer of wool is wrapped around it. This wool layer is approximately 1/4" thick.
Our futons are hand-tufted with linen thread to ensure the right amount of pre-compression and to prevent the stuffing from shifting.
For the chemically sensitive, there are no scents or fragrances associated with the manufacture of these futons.
They are available in 3 in, 4 in, 6 in. or 8 in thickness.
Crib, Twin and Double size are shipped by UPS, Queen and King size are shipped by truck..

FUTON CARE: Any futon will droop without proper care, even the foam core ones. As long as futons are turned and flipped, and if possible "rolled" periodically, they will last a long time.
We think that a futon that is well cared for will last for about 10 years, the same as any mattress. Thin futons will wear faster, so a thicker futon would be better for a regular sleeping surface.
*BY LAW when purchasing an ALL COTTON futon or top mattress, you must provide us with a doctor's prescription to waive the flame retardant safety requirements.
